Credeo

One verse. Plain English. Every morning.

One verse every morning, like a text from a wise friend — the original words, what they actually mean, and how to use them in whatever today throws at you.

CredeoToday, 8:45 AM

You believe more than you practice. That's not a discipline problem.

You've tried reading the Bible — and stalled somewhere in the begats. The language reads like a legal document from 1611. The devotional app you downloaded is two taps away, which is two taps too many at 6:45 in the morning.

So the first voice most mornings is the feed. And when a genuinely hard season arrives — the diagnosis, the layoff, the grief — you end up where tens of thousands of people are at 1 a.m. every night: googling “bible verses for hard times.”

It was never supposed to work like that. The Bible is the original self-help book — thousands of years of tested wisdom on fear, money, patience, loss, and difficult people. It never needed improving. It needed translating back into your actual life, and delivering before the feed gets to you.

Three parts. Forty-five seconds. It stays with you all day.

Credeo is that translation. Not someone's essay about the verse — the verse itself, exactly as written, then what it means, then what to do with it before lunch.

Proverbs 3:5

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."

Today's verse, selected the same way your daily message is. Scripture quoted from the King James Version (public domain).

📖

The original verse

The actual scripture, quoted faithfully with its reference — never paraphrased, never trimmed to fit. Choose KJV free, or ESV / NIV / NLT on paid plans.

💬

In modern terms

The same idea in plain English — old language stripped away, meaning kept intact. "You don't have the full picture. Stop white-knuckling every outcome and trust the One who does."

🎯

How to apply it today

Two or three sentences of practical wisdom — work stress, hard conversations, big decisions. Tell us what season you're in, and this part quietly bends toward your actual life.

Set it up once. Wisdom shows up daily.

Where this comes from

My family has always met hard seasons with the same four words: God has a plan.

Credeo — Latin for “I believe” — is a name we chose together years ago, long before we knew what we'd build with it.

This is what it became: one verse every morning — what it actually means, and what to do with it that day. And every message ends the way we always have: God has a plan.

Tomorrow, 8:45 AM. Your first verse.

Honest answers, before you ask.

Is the "modern terms" part scripture?

No, and we never present it that way. The verse is quoted verbatim from a licensed translation. The plain-English section is clearly labeled as a paraphrase aid — a bridge to the real thing, not a replacement for it.

Who checks the theology?

Our verse plan and application style are reviewed by pastoral advisors. The applications aim for practical wisdom, not doctrinal hot takes — if a verse needs a sermon, we say so and keep it simple.

Will you repeat verses?

Your history is tracked per person. A curated 365-day plan rotates wisdom literature, Psalms, Gospels, and Epistles — you won't see the same verse twice in a year.

Is it really free?

For the first 100 subscribers — yes, free, and you stay free. After the first 100: $1.99/month (or $15/year) for the daily email, and $4.99/month for text-message delivery once it ships. Nothing ever changes without notice.
